- You must realize your need for a Savior because you cannot save yourself. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way.” Isaiah 53:6
- The only way you can be saved is because Christ died to pay the punishment for your sins. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Cor. 5:21
- We cannot save ourselves but God gives salvation to those who turn to Him in repentance and faith, trusting only in the death of Christ to save them. This is called “grace” or a free gift from God. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
- Jesus gives us a wonderfully free invitation to come unto Him and be saved. “Come. And let him who hears say, Come. And let him who is thirsty come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Rev. 22:17 “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” Isaiah 45:22
